私はMCカートリッジを使う時はステップアップトランスを常用しています。 具体的にはTRIADのNEUMANNのトランスです。 最近の機器で、MCカートリッジに対応出来るとの触れ込みで販売されているフォノイコライザーアンプを使ってみました。 スイッチ一つで入力ゲインを切り替えているのは分かるのですが、切り替えても他のスイッチを組み合わせてみても、どうやってもゲインが足りない。 メーカー、販売店はこのセッティングで良いと言うのですが…。 結局はMC用のステップアップトランスを前段に入れました。しかし、びっくりしたのはそのアンプ入力をMCポジションにして、更に前にMCトランスを入れてようやく、それ相応の出力が得られたのですが、今度はフォルテシモで音が割れる…。 どんなカートリッジを繋ぐ前提で設計されたのか。 おそらくは高出力タイプ、ハイゲインタイプと呼ばれる出力が高めのカートリッジ向けなのでしょう。 低出力の繊細なカートリッジには向いていないようです。 新たにアンプ購入を検討されている場合は、この辺りに注意された方が良いように思います。...
