I visited a customer today. I brought along NEUMANN BV-33 transformer.

So we compared the two together.

He continued,

“The specification is same, but materials are different !” I said,

“That's right. Unfortunately, most audiophiles have never compared the two, and they spread the rumor that all reproductions are fakes.

If you can make something that is identical to the original using the same materials and manufacturing methods, then there's no problem in calling it the original. If the materials and manufacturing methods are strongly different, it's possible that a different sound will be produced even if the characteristics are the same."

He agreed.
