オーディオを趣味にされている方々は、高音質、リアルさ、再現、そのような言葉を胸に機器を買い替えたりアクセサリーを導入したりされていることでしょう。
さて、その時にどのような目標をお持ちですか？
生々しさ、リアルさなど、何かしらが向上することを念頭においた言葉で表現されることが多いのですね。
ところでその言葉で示した音がどのようなものかを具体的にイメージ出来ますか？経験していますか？
それがあって初めて進歩出来ます。
ところがこれが曖昧だとなかなか短期で無駄遣いせずに辿り着くことが難しいと思います。
まずは、理想とする目標を見つけることです。
先輩を追いかける、というのが最短距離です。如何に出会うか、これごものすごく大切だと思うのです。
その場合に大切なことは、圧倒的に違う価格帯の物を聞くこと。また、全く違う路線の方のも聞くこと、です。
違いがわからなければ大した違いはないと思って良いのです。
違いが分かったらそれはどこがどう違うかをよく体験すると良いでしょう。
また、オーディオを趣味と言いつつも、暗に人との交流の手段としている人は経験的にはかなり多い印象です。そうした方々は自分の価値観と同じ人を強く求めがち。『聴きにおいで』という招待の裏には絶対の自信があったり、逆に認めてもらいたいという必死な気持ちがあることも。
後者の場合、見解が違うとそれがキッカケで諍いが起こるなど、大人気ない行動も見受けられがち。
私の感覚では、自分なりの再生を楽しんでいる方、特に他人の評価を求めない人は、わざわざ積極的に人を呼んで聞かせるようなことはしていません。勿論積極的に披露して広めたくてやってる方もいらっしゃるようです。
いずれにしても仲の良い同士で楽しんでいます。
言い換えれば人として合わない人は招かない、友達になれそうもない人はわざわざ呼ばないのです。
道場破りみたいな勘違い野郎はお払い箱です。
そういう仲間内ではオーディオの話をあまりしない。他の話題の方が多いです。
これ、実は自転車の世界でもそうです。あれこれコンポーネントパーツやフレーム素材が…と話しているマニアは多いです。一方でフレームのスケルトン含めたオーダーメイドに行き着人は自分の乗り方、使い方を心得て注文しますそういう人達は、パーツなどの話はほとんどしません。私もそのオーダー内容から乗り方を当てたりします。そこから走りの話になり、あの峠は…などと具体的な旅行の話に飛ぶのです。
私の場合もオーディオの話よりは音楽、演奏、楽曲の話になります。
さて、では掲題の突き詰めるということとどんな関係があるのでしょうか？
目的、目標の違い、これに尽きるのでは？

However, if this is unclear, I think it will be difficult to reach your ideal goal in a short period of time without wasting money.
First of all, find your ideal goal.
The shortest route is to follow your seniors. I think it is very important to find out how to meet them.
In that case, the important thing is to listen to things in a vastly different price range. Also, listen to things from people with a completely different line of thinking.
If you can't tell the difference, you can assume that there isn't much difference.
Once you know the difference, it's a good idea to experience it carefully to see how it is different.
Also, from my experience, I get the impression that many people who call audio their hobby are also implicitly using it as a way to interact with others. These people tend to strongly seek out people who share their values. Behind the invitation to "come listen" there may be absolute confidence, or conversely, a desperate desire to be recognized.
In the latter case, differences in opinion can lead to arguments, and you may be seen to behave in a very childish manner.
In my opinion, people who enjoy their own listening, especially those who do not seek the evaluation of others, do not go out of their way to actively invite people to listen to them. Of course, there are also people who do it because they want to actively show it off and spread the word.
In any case, they enjoy it with friends.
In other words, they do not invite people who do not get along as people, and do not go out of their way to invite people who are unlikely to become friends.
Guys who are delusional and like to challenge the dojo are dismissed.
In such groups, they do not talk much about audio. They talk about other topics more.
This is actually true in the world of bicycles as well. Many enthusiasts talk about various component parts, frame materials, etc. On the other hand, those who go for a custom-made frame, including the skeleton, order with a good idea of how they will ride and use it, and they hardly ever talk about parts or anything like that. I can also guess the riding style from the details of the order. From there we talk about riding, and then we jump into specific travel stories like "that mountain pass..." etc.
In my case too, I end up talking about music, performances, and songs rather than audio.
So, what does this have to do with getting to the bottom of the subject?
Doesn't it all come down to the difference in purpose and goals?
