今夜はortofon SPUの初期型を使って
音楽に浸る。
先人の作ったカートリッジの長所を改めて確認しながら。
マニアの皆さんがご存知のようにSPUは時代をくぐり抜ける中で様々な変遷を経て今に至っています。
完全オリジナルの物は世の中に幾つ残っているか。
これはスタイラスチップとカンチレバーはオリジナル、ダンパーは交換してはいるが。
カンチレバー、スタイラスチップ共に以後のものにはない特徴がある。
それはまたいずれ。
そして肝心のレコードはカッコいい風貌でジャケ映えしているビルパーキンス。
ウエストコーストですね。バトシャンク、レットミッチェル、ラスフリーマン、メルルイスなどと共演しています。
ウエストコースト言うと軽いイメージあるかもですがしっかりとバップしてます。中間派とか呼ぶのかな？その辺りの分類はよく知りませんが。

Especially using vintage Ortofon SPU.
From the start to now, SPU series are changed for fitting the records and needs of the each generations or dare say, each era.
Generally vintage SPU are repaired and changed some consumables.
This one is still keeping original cantilever and stylus tip except dampers.
These vintage SPUs have some characteristic specifications. Those will be next whether.
This record is by Bill Perkins and others. Especially Russ Freeman, Red Mitchel, Bud Shank, Mel Lewis and so on.
He’s good pictured as a nice guy, isn’t he?
Probably this is grouped in west coast jazz, I feel Bop taste.
